How to Celebrate International
Women’s Day

Ways to honor the women who inspire #IWD2019 #BalanceForBetter

Celebrated in countries around the world, International Women’s Day is a time for women to shine!  To recognize, appreciate and spread the good word of women’s achievement and honor the future of female. This year International Women’s Day will be celebrated on March 8, 2019.

According to UN.org, “International Women’s Day first emerged from the activities of labor movements at the turn of the twentieth century in North America and across Europe.”  Since then, the movement has expanded to a worldwide phenomenon, crossing paths of ethnicity, culture, economics and political views, zeroing in on the power of all SHE can do. Celebrating women’s achievements while calling for a more gender-balanced world.

While you can participate in globally organized events held around the world, there’s power in starting at home and in our hearts. Recognizing and celebrating can start from within—  empowering young girls to feel bright, strong and know they can accomplish anything they wish to achieve.  That sure sounds like progress to us!
